Round four of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup just came to an end. The racing all day, from the 1/8th qualifying motos straight to the Men and Women finals brought the Argentinian crowd on their feet. Making it to the main event required some good starts and smart racing and that's just what Great Britain's Liam Phillips and Mariana Pajon (COL) did in Santago Del Estero. Although Liam's final start wasn't flawless, he used the inside lane to his advantage as he dove into the first turn and grabbed the holeshot. With many tricky jumps on

The Supercross party moved to Santiago Del Estero Argentina for the fifth round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series. Always a favourite with the competitors, the grandstands were overflowing and the huge and vocal crowd lent a very party like atmosphere to the event! This year the track had a few upgrades and was even faster and more flowing than previous years.
Under perfect weather conditions, it came down to the riders
Olympic hopeful Anthony Dean produced a brilliant performance to grab second this morning in the fourth round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Santiago Del Estero. The riders turned it on in front of a raucous South American crowd, which only helped to enhance the drama and spectacle on a day of absorbing racing in what is the only World Cup event held in the southern hemisphere.
In the elite men, Dean, who finished runner up in the season standings last year grabbed his first podium of the year behind Great Britain’s Liam Phillips, who secured his third win of an increasingly dominant season.
Dean produced a competitive all important start in the final, but Phillips was better, and from there the race was all but won and done, Dean unable to rein him in. Although excited to be back on a World Cup podium, the South Australian said that it won’t change his mindset to much moving forward.
