Pretoria based BMX star Dean Holdstock recently arrived back on home soil to prepare for the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup season opener in Pietermaritzburg after a busy four month stint in the US. The injury plagued youngster, who missed out on last year’s World Champs due to two cracked vertebrae and a slipped disc which he sustained in a bone buckling crash at the Alrode in Gauteng just two weeks before the international event, is hopeful his misfortunes are a thing of the past and has been working hard ahead of next weekend’s event.

“I felt really strong before my crash last year and I definitely feel I’m back up there again now.”
“Having missed out last year I’m definitely very keen to take full advantage of this opportunity to perform in front of my home crowd. There’s no doubt it gets me pumped to be able to show them
