Masters Of Dirt in Dublin was insane! It was the first time the MOD had ever come to Ireland. The whole time there was really fun. The jumps were great, and the arena was crazy. Dublin loved it. The BMX and MTB guys had fun and rode great, throwing down tricks on their jumps and on the motocross one too. And of course the Fuel Girls made it complete; dancing, pumping up everyone at the show and at the after party. Check out some of the experiences we had at the show and partying in the video from Dublin after the jump.
Saturday night was a wild one! Imagine almost 150 riders (it was 147 to be exact) all riding togerther in one big group from the tourist streets of Hollywood Blvd to the down & dirty mean streets of Los Angeles. It was a carazy fun ride & was most def a new experience for me. I mean, I’ve ridden with a “crew” before. But 147 BMXers strong? Never. We all met right in front of the Kodak Theater on Hollywood Blvd at 8pm on Saturday night & then lead the charge through the streets for a couple of hours with a few stops. The ride was super smooth. We didn’t get sweated for running red lights or anything. It was like the city was ours.
All kinds of pro old school BMX heads showed up: Donny Atherton, Dennis Dain, Stu Thomsen, Greg Hill, Robby Rupe, and a few others I’m sure. Add to them about 100 other guys on their old–school bikes mixed in with quite a few new-school shredders on their current bikes & there you have it. 147 strong.
