Besides Dew-ing the right thing, you¹ll save $2 off admission everyday you bring a pair of blown-out shoes. Show your battered kicks to the ticket office, then toss them dogs in the Nike 6.0 collection bin. As part of Reuse-A-Shoe, we¹ll grind up grimy sneaks of any brand, then process and recycle them into a post-consumer material used to build sport surfaces.

This Sunday at the Cleveland AST Dew Tour, Nike 6.0 will be swapping your blown-out kicks for new 6.0¹s for the first 30 peeps with old sneaks to recycle. Bring your camping gear and get in line early to make the top 30, then show your support at the BMX Park Finals. Gates are scheduled to open at noon. BMX Park Finals go down at 4:30.

Years and years ago I ordered a pair of custom Vans and waited for months before they came in. The result was sweet though because I had the pair and color that I wanted exactly. You could even pick your own sole print too back then. Vans still offers their custom program in two models: The Slip-ons and the Old Skools. That OldSchool stuff is getting more popular by the day. The folks at 23Mag teamed up with Xavier Redois and Claude Vuillemot to have a fun day going where people rode BMX again on the track and old school BMX Bike collectors displayed their bikes.

In our sport of BMX, and other similar disciplines, a concussion is often regarded by the riders as a minor injury. Not by the medics, they take it serious because it is serious. Repeated concussions have a cumulative effect - so that a person who sustains a number of concussions can end up with a more serious injury. Repeated concussions can also lead to Second Impact Syndrome. Acute brain swelling and bleeding occurs when a second concussion is sustained before the first one has healed properly. This can be difficult to treat and can be fatal. In layman's terms, unless they can open the skull to relieve the swelling within thirty minutes or thereabouts you are probably dead.

Problems that could arise over the first 24 hours once you leave the track are:

Who doesn't pick up a free BMX magazine? Cream published Hors-Serie #6 and distributed the mag during the BMX Masters in Germany. So even if you did find a silent moment you could dig into the free issue which has Bob Haro on the cover. 30 years after starting BMX freestyle he still gets covers and he deserves it too. We owe him. Not only did Bob get the cover, he's got a six page feature too. We'll sum up the contents here so you know what the free issue is all about. In fact, it's a full on magazine in French and English with great pics and art that you should try to get your hands on. In the BMX agenda they forgot the 20th edition of the FAT-JAM (9 August) but other than that they've got a full list of events on page 12. Since Cream is based in Paris you can expect them to know what's up on the fashion side. The new products on page 14 are all about it.
