In order to ensure proper skate area planning and conception, it is necessary to understand exactly what kind of sports skating, BMX and inline are. Skating emerged at the end of the 1960s in California, and was joined by BMX at the beginning of the 70s and inline skating during the mid 80s. The Dubai X-Games is going to be a crazy event. Not so much in the sense of an insane location (it actually is pretty nuts), or the amount of riders (invite only), but the prizemoney is plain ridiculous. First prize for vert: $ 100.000, USD! and now comes the crazy part: First place for "real" street: $ 100.000,= USD! If you would have said that street riders were going to battle for that money 2 years ago, they would have sent you off to the mental institution. Mark Webb is unreal. Decade air to 360. Never mind the quality and it's worth tilting your head.

This upcoming weekend we're going to the Urban Vibrations in France. They have breakdance comps and also a graffiti expo. I'm expecting to see some good stuff there. Today it was off to De Berenkuil in Eindhoven to see what's new. It was a quick biketrip there with the camera in the back pocket. When I left the camera battery had three bars but after a few shots the red started blinking. I managed to get some photos before it died completely. Here they are.
