There's one name that comes to mind when there are BMX ramps to be built, so it’s no wonder that Nike 6.0 got hold of Nate Wessel when they came up with the concept for the BCN BMX PRO contest in Barcelona this summer. Nate has an innovative mind that has created some of the best skateparks in the world. From Woodward to X-Games; he's built it all. There's something amazing coming to Barcelona this summer, and it's going to be big. 
As part of the Movistar Barcelona Extreme, 40 of the world’s best park riders land in Spain for the most incredible spectacle this summer. The line up has been selected via a combination of the following - exclusive invite, top placings at major league events and a riders poll. Three final spots will be awarded to the top locals in the Spanish AM JAM taking place before the PRO Qualifiers. Heavy hitters in the line up include Nike 6.0 riders Garrett Reynolds, Dennis Enarson, Mike Spinner and Jason Phelan who will ride alongside the likes of Gary Young, Ryan Nyquist, Drew Bezanson, Brett Banasiewicz and a list of quality park contenders.
I'm not sure if you guys are interested but I wanted to show you where the humble BMX has evolved to in the pursuit of speed! Back in 1986, a leading BMX Mag of the time ran a small article on the US Gravity Bike scene showing a few guys flipping a stock BMX upside down and bombing some serious hills.
