The Olympic Games are set for London for the summer of 2012. BMX racing will be part of it again. To make sure that things are all in place, they held a BMX race in the Olympic Village on the track that was built for the 2012 Games. I decided to go to London to see what it was like and was prepared for the worst. I’m not a fan of security telling me what to do or where to go so you can imagine that going to the venue was going to be a journey. I arrived at Stansted Airport in the morning and took a bus to Stratford station. I was told to turn left at the station and walk for about 15 minutes. When I got there I did see the BMX and Basketball signs which was a good thing. At least I got off the bus at the right place. Now the next step was the media pass. I had filled in 4 forms online to get into the system and only received confirmation 2 weeks before the event. This didn’t help with the travel plans but luckily my name showed up at accreditation so within a few minutes I had a pass around my neck. Next up was another security check before stepping onto a bus that would drop me off near the
