After many years racing on Redline bicycles, the national Dutch BMX racing team will make the move to Meybo bikes at the beginning of 2013. The contract will go till after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Says Dutch BMX coach Bas de Bever: "The advantage over the Redline bikes will be that each and every racer on the team will be able to get a bike custom made to their likings. This will automatically help with the process of becoming a better and faster rider, something we're always looking into." I've never been to a city where the community came together so quickly and easily to make an event possible, but that's how things are in Lake Havasu, AZ. This past weekend, countless people and organizations donated their time and resources 100% pro bono, united towards the goal of raising money for Tinnell Memorial Sports Park - a skate & BMX park to be built in honor of Patrick Tinnell, a BMXer and member of the armed forces who lost his life serving our country.
