What got you into drawing in the first place?
Niko: Well, I think I have been drawing for almost all my life or at least the part I remember, haha. When we're talking about the BMX cartoons, I think like 2 years or so.

You sem to have a certain style with the eyes, is that your trademark?
Niko: Yes, it's some particular thing I put in my drawings to make them something more original. That makes it kind of harder keeping the similarity to the rider that I'm going to draw but it is worth it when I see the drawing finished.

Drawing BMX bikes the right way is hard, does it help you 

The BMX racing world is looking forward to the next big event, the Red Bull R.Evolution. The track is basically a wide set of trails from start to finish. Next to a big purse for the fastest riders, over € 4000 Euros will be handed out to those who do the best tricks during the race. Flat pedals allowed. Watching this live at the Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany will cost you 5 Euros. If you can't make it, we'll have a live broadcast here on FATBMX as well.

The first round of the 2012 Dew Tour BMX vert finals took place under the hot Ocean City sun, while competitors brought their best to the ramp. The highest scoring run went to Simon Tabron, who stomped a tabletop 540, an alley-oop 540, a can-can x-up 540 and a flair. His amplitude was also an attribute to his success. Out of the 11 competitors only six advanced to the finals.
