The two-day event in BMX Park Ljubljana finished with the spectacular elite men finals with strong riders from Germany, Italy and Denmark fighting for the top honor. Slovenians dominated the junior categories and showed great potential for the future. There were in total 112 cyclist from Austria, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Hungary and Slovenia on BMX Race Ljubljana Powered by Toyo Tires. Race weekend started with AlpeAdria BMX Cup on Saturday, and that was already a spectacle of its own. Racing in junior & cruiser categories was great, but the treat of the day came with the 17+ race. Vans BMX Pro Cup, the world’s leading platform for elite BMX park terrain competition landed in Stuttgart, Germany on June 14 for the first time ever in the series’ history, hosted at the brand new Waiblingen BMX Park. The competition kicked off with the Regional Qualifiers on June 14, followed by the Women’s Pro Cup Finals and Men’s Pro Cup Semi-Finals on June 15.
A packed Regional Qualifiers produced an awe-inspiring spectacle of riding as 72 competitors from 17 different countries battled it out for a place in the Vans BMX Pro Cup Finals.
