Diamondback announced the launch of a brand new website today. The new site is now live and can be found at the former home of its predecessor at diamondbackbmx.com. “We are thrilled with the new site and we look forward to making great use of it” stated Diamondback Marketing Coordinator Trevor Knesal. “The site will prove to be not only an online catalog of our products, but also a place to learn about the company and to be kept informed on things we’re up to as they happen”.

Here's the latest on Mike himself: Mike had an examination by the ophthalmologist. It started out fine, Mike was cooperative. As the exam progressed Mike became agitated. The ophthalmologist could not see far enough into the back of Mike’s eyes to see the root of the optic nerve. The exam could not be completed. They will attempt it again next week and they will sedate Mike. They say another week won’t hurt. They withheld any findings pending the finishing a full exam. That is all I know right now. From 5 to 6 April 2008, the second round of the FISE EXPERIENCE Tour, takes place in the French ski station of AURON (Alpes Maritimes). The concept is a tour in 6 cities with prize money and a lots of gifts. For the winner in BMX of FISE EXPERIENCE Tour, a car FIAT 4X4 CROSS is to win. For this stage the ranking is coefficient 2.

There are several different ways to promote a product. The people at Strictly BMX in Australia send out a newsletter on a regular basis and they come up with some original stuff like the Vander T-shirt for instance. Their latest mailing had some nice shots of the new VANS shoe arrival that they received. The kicks can be used for self defence as shown in the three photos that came with the mailing. In your face, on the floor and in the nuts. Good stuff.

Dude, this is going in the right direction. Colony have stepped things up and are now offering a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser of all Colony frames against snaps and cracks. You will get a new frame. No questions asked. Colony won't however warrant your frame if you bend or twist it as any frame will bend eventually

Had a great afternoon hanging out and riding with Choq today. I picked him up at his mom's where he's staying on his annual Holland visit and then we hit  the following spots: Volkel BMX track, Boekel trails, backyard BMX track in Boekel, Handbalveld Gemert, Helm trails, FAT office, Sugar Hills and Paul's Boutique. The afternoon away from the desk means that I'm now catching up and finishing up this FAT-Friday before the Mini-FAT-JAM takes place tomorrow. The snow that came down earlier this week has disappeared and as each year, the opening of the outdoor season will be done riding in T-shirts. Don't miss it; starts tomorrow at 1pm. in Aarle-Rixtel.

-The T-Mobile Extreme playground Dirt contest is taking place next month. The event was rained off last year but this time they're going indoors. The riders list has been announced and looks A-Okay: Kye Forte, Ryan Guettler, Ben Hennon, Ryan Nyquist, BB, Atze, Alejandro Caro, Patrick Guimez, Hampl, Ben Wallace, Benny Paulsen and Mike Buse.
