Let’s talk about the Empire of Dirt event. You’ve organized jams before but this one is of a whole other level with people coming over from all over the world. Are you ready for it? Kye Forte: I think the event is going to be pretty nuts, at least I hope so, we put a lot of work into it. It has been a year in the planning. It’s going to be different. Everyone’s there, everyone’s having fun, you can’t compare it with anything else, it’s going to be a week where everyone is really going to enjoy themselves. Normally people say they’re having a great time at a contest but half the time they’re not. They’re lying but the Empire of Dirt is going to be really fun.
Name: Bruno Hoffmann Age: 14 Hometown: Siegen, close to Cologne, Germany.
You’re one of the young ones on the contest scene but how long have you been riding BMX? Bruno Hoffmann: I don’t know a real point of time, but I think about 5-6 years Is BMX your life? Bruno Hoffmann: Nah, not really. I have my life with school, family, friends and stuff. BMX is just a really big part of it.
How do you follow BMX? Bruno Hoffmann: I just check a few sites on a daily basis. I also like to watch current videos and magazines.
Name: Daniel Dhers Age: 22 Hometown: Caracas, Venezuela
How's staying with Dave Mirra? Daniel Dhers: It's definitely amazing, Dave was one of my idols for so many year, so living with him and get to see what motivates him it's definitely a good experience and motivation for me.
Where do you usually ride? Daniel Dhers: Mirra's Warehouse, JC Park, The Unit and Mancuso's Vert Ramp As the current Dew tour Park champion, do you feel more pressure going into the year 2007? Daniel Dhers: Not really, I never really feel much pressure when it comes to riding, I had my doubts if I was going to choke, but when I'm on my bike I just focus and don't let any distractions come to my mind, you know either you focus on what you are doing or you crash.

What happened in Singapore? Bas Keep: I ruptured my spleen and had to spend a few days in hospital, luckily it stopped bleeding so they didn't take it out! After I was discharged I spent a week in bed in my hotel room sleeping!
You almost starved to death too? Bas Keep: Ha ha I was nil by mouth for two days because there was always a chance my spleen would start bleeding again and I would be taken in for surgery. On the third day Ali and Miron brought in some Chicken burgers for me!
With 10 guys in the lobby of the Phoenix hotel working (or playing poker) on their laptops, Josh Harrington discovered the mail I sent him three weeks ago and decided to fill it in on the spot. I'll take a photo of his Premium bike tomorrow and add it to this post.
How many Metro Jams have you visited prior to the Singapore one? Josh: 5
The winner of last year’s Dew Tour (park) is about to enter his first Metro BMX jam ever. He has a bit of a flight to take to get there and he’s packing a different bike than he rode in 2006. Daniel Dhers means business as everyone witnessed last year, can he do the same in 2007?
How many Metro Jams have you visited prior to the Singapore one? Daniel Dhers: This is going to be my first one.
