Organisers of the BMX cycling event at the Baku 2015 European Games have agreed a change in the competition schedule in response to concerns over potential high winds at the BMX Velopark this weekend. The men's and women's motos sections of the programme - originally scheduled for 14:30 on Saturday 27 June - have been moved forward to 17:00 on Friday 26 June. They will take place after the qualifying time trials which begin at 14:30.
There will be no racing or training on Saturday, with the semifinals and finals due to be raced as planned on Sunday 28 June from 15:00.
Today BMX practice started at the European Games in Baku. It's the first time the European Games are held and noone really knows how to value it. It could be the most unique BMX medal to win. It could also be just a gimmick if the games end up being a disaster. Points are on the line and when the gate drops, everyone is in it to win it.
