The world's best action sports stars will be returning to Beijing for the second China Invitational May 8-10, 2009 at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium, a 2008 Summer Olympic venue. Part of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, the China Invitational, features both skateboard (park and vert) and BMX (vert) competitions. The action sports event will be televised in the United States on NBC and across China on BTV6, the sports channel of Beijing TV as well as the China Sports Program Network. Some of the top BMX athletes in the world are confirmed to compete in China, including four-time BMX Vert Dew Cup champion Jamie Bestwick of England and Chad Kagy of Gilory, Calif. They will join fellow Dew Tour BMX riders for intense competition on the vert ramp. "We are thrilled to return to Beijing, China for the second consecutive year," said Chris Prybylo, Alli Vice President. "Last year's inaugural event was a huge a success and we're excited to add BMX vert as a judged competition this year.

ASA ENTERTAINMENT REACHES ONE MILLION KIDS WITH THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ASA ACTION SPORTS HIGH SCHOOL TOUR IN

ASA Entertainment (ASA), the leader in action sports event production, is excited to announce that with the launch of their 2009 ASA High School Tour it will celebrate 10 years of support for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Since 2000, ASA has traveled the country visiting high schools with a mobile action sports tour, featuring top skateboarding, BMX and inline skating pros performing unimaginable tricks on a portable half-pipe during on campus assemblies, while disseminating an important anti-tobacco cause message through announcements, trivia questions, brochures and attention grabbing performances. The riders and Tour staff educate students about the dangers of tobacco use, the risks associated with second-hand smoke and ways to combat the pressure to start smoking. In 2009 the ASA High School Tour will reach its 1,000,000th student with this Tour and its critical message.“We are so pleased to make such a positive impact on students throughout the country with this tour”, said Rick Bratman,
This is the first ever BMX Competition in Bad Reichenhall. There will be two categories, riders under and over the age of 16 years. The System will be runs, every rider will have two qualification runs (Better run counts). The best 10 riders will make it to the Final with another run. The start money will turn into Prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Also there will be Prices from Germanys BMX Shop 360Shop.de
