Last month while Madera was on Road Fools, Josh Eilken clipped on a massive 360 gap. Josh suffered a pretty serious injury--broken jaw, broken teeth, and damage to his ear. But, being the trooper that he is, he was able to get out of the hospital after 5 days and is well on his way to a full recovery and getting back on his bike full time. The Athlete Recovery Fund has been amazingly helpful. They have been on board since day one doing their best to help Josh and his family with medical bills. But, considering Josh has not been able to work over the past month, we wanted to help him out with some support to square him away with day to day expenses. 
A day before TJ Lavin's crash at the Dew Tour in Las Vegas, LV based Ty Pinney crashed while riding his bike at TJ Lavin's backyard. It's messed up but it's part of BMX and that's why friends of Ty have reacted quickly by setting up a website for him where you can help out in various ways. Action sports event producer ASA Entertainment (ASA) is pleased to announce that it has signed a three-year deal with FOX Sports Net (FSN) to bring top-notch action sports entertainment to the cable network’s viewers. The ASA events featured on FSN each year will include the MegaRamp ASA Triples, the ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross, the Action Sports World Championships, the Supergirl Jam event series and the ASA Action Sports World Tour. That´s what´s up! There´s a new bunch of BMX riders lined up for the Telekom Extreme Playgrounds in December. In the BMX Street category, Michael Beran (CZ) and Ben Hennon (UK) will show us what they got. Beran had bad luck last year, when he had to start against Gary Young in the first round and had to leave early. He had a much better run in Hamburg where he not only qualified but also made it up to #2. Ben Hennon on the other side is a Telekom Playgrounds veteran. So, there´s no doubt that these two will heat up the contest big time. In the Vert we´re proud to announce Zack Warden (USA) and Steve McCann. Zack´s a regular among the X-Games Top 10 and missed last years Telekom Playgrounds final only by an inch. Steve comes from Australia and rides right from the beginning of his career all big, international contests around the world and that's in Dirt, Park AND Vert!

As New York prepares for Halloween, there will be one event where the vibe is fun, but the moves are serious. Red Bull Trick or Treat will give Brooklynites a front row seat to watch BMX street riders take on the night on October 29th, as 16 teams of the most core and respected BMX riders in the country will gather at Newtown Barge Park for a contest that will be full of tricks, and for the winning pair, some much deserved treats. Local BMX Pro rider Edwin De La Rosa is inviting 16 teams of 2 riders each to go trick for trick in a jam session elimination format. The confirmed riders are:

The Timo Jam originally started because Timo van Lierop and his friends were complaining that towards the end of the year, there were no BMX events left. Paul told them to do a jam on the Mini ramp at the Bosscheweg. Pick a date, gather some prizes, make a flyer, and tell all your friends to come over. The start was made five years ago and it has become an annual jam on the calendar of the Aarle-Rixtel locals and beyond. If you need some new parts for your bike and want to go to Paul's Boutique anyway, make it Saturday 30 October. Since it's a halloween jam, feel free to dressup funky, nobody will complain. In fact, the flyer says there's a costume contest as well so win something without having to put in any effort on the miniramp. The Metal Mulisha can claim domination in yet another sport, as BMX team rider Brandon Dosch takes home his first-ever Dew Tour championship Cup with a win this weekend in Las Vegas. The prestigious championship title comes on the heels of Mulisha's first season competing in BMX. Dosch closed out the Dew Cup season championship by edging out dirt rookie Brett Banasiewicz, who came to Vegas leading the overall BMX dirt standings. However, Dosch was clutch when he needed it most, consistently landing
The ARMA Energy SNX team energized the Dew Tour Championships this weekend in Las Vegas. Our successful season was capped with wins from Brandon Dosch in BMX Dirt and Chad Kagy in BMX Vert. In BMX Dirt, Brandon Dosch rode hard all season and found himself in 2nd place heading into the Championships. His spectacular win here came down to his final run and was packed with big tricks, including a triple whip, opposite 360 lookback and a corked 720. This was enough to give Brandon the win and the overall Dew Cup for the 2010 season.
