A Total of 17,861 in Attendance For The First Day Of Competition Sao Paulo, Brazil ? The inaugural X Games Brazil kicked off today in Sao Paulo as 17,861 screaming fans welcomed a world-class, international field of action sports athletes. The first day of competition showcased some of the world's best action sports athletes competing in BMX Street, BMX Vert, Skateboard Street and Moto X Best Trick at the Sambodromo do Anhembi in Sao Paulo. "We knew bringing the X Games to Sao Paulo would be big, but today significantly exceeded all of our expectations," said Rick Alessandri, Senior Vice President, ESPN Consumer Products and X Games Franchise Managing Director. Wiz joins Adam Banton, Kelly Bolton, Eric Holley and Craig Mast on Eastern’s USA pro team. “I’ve known Wiz for a long time and know he will bring a lot to Eastern,” says Eastern TM Leigh Ramsdell, adding that the rest of the team was psyched to have Wiz on board. Today 25 April is a special day in The Netherlands. It's called "Lintjesdag" where people who have done special things for the community receive recognition. It was Gerrit Does' turn to make the trip to the Local Council where he received appreciation by the Mayor for all his work he has done for BMX. The list is almost endless and the Mayor had to keep it short. Gerrit was the last one to expect being called in for the honour and had already planned a trip to Germany on his motor bike for the day.
