BMX PLUS! Magazine March 2007

May 10, 2007
Yo Yo Yooo!! New BMX Plus! magazine is out. The June issue has got the following to offer: Russell Reyes on the cover and Nate Powell gets the contents spread. We've told you before that Plus! covers people you normally don't hear about. Is Spinner still typing up that e-mail or is he hooked on Myspace? Inside Scoop gives you the BMX news from a few months back. It's hard for the magazines to keep up with the internet. Cool pics of a 10 year old Bubba and Mike Day stylin'at the age of 10. Pro race news still comes from a retired Dale Homes. Mail gets answered before Plus! takes you to the 6-page Adio road trip. 3 race complete bikes get tested: Intense - GT - Free Agent. If you want to ride up a wall you gotta check out the how-to on pages 40-41. Everyone has a dream team, Who's in yours? Pick 5. So did Bobby Carter, Catfish, Morgan Wade, Dan Mooney, Chad Kagy, Marco Massei, Ben Crockett and Tyrone Williams.

DIGBMX magazine number fifty-eight

May 10, 2007
Since we're media partners with DIGBMX I believe it's okay for us to snatch their table of content to let you know what's in their latest issue. I believe Brian Tunney wrote it so all credits to him. Did you know that Brian is getting married on May 22nd? Congrats man, congrats.
-FIRST THINGS FIRST:
Why riding your bike on holiday mornings can be a good thing...
-BALLBAG: A long time ago, BMXers were so few and far between that you said hello to anyone that looked as if they might've ridden a bike. Ryan Worcester takes the time to get a little nostalgic of those days and calls out those who may be riding for all the wrong reasons....
-SENT ITEMS: The good letters dried up permanently a long time ago so we had to rely on good ole' MySpace for some decent reader dialogue....

ASO's Vic Murphy

May 09, 2007
The best tables in the business come from Vic Murphy. It got him plenty of magazine covers including one on FAT-'zine. He started DirtBros in a time when rider owned companies didn't exist. Skyway TA frames with Redline forks is what it was back then. Painted white with black DirtBros stickers slapped on them. A company was born. The name Dirtbros was a good fit. Riders on the team were dirtbags and rode at Mission trails most of the time. Their home was the Dirthouse in East San Diego where the sound of firing guns wasn't uncommon. Ronnie Farmer felt right at home. Street sessions were taking place on a daily basis. They started at the Dirthouse and everything within pedaling distance was hit. Schools on University street or everything on their way to the Pelican wall downtown SD. Fast pace at all times too. Fast forward fifteen years and Vic is doing BMX shows with a passion and travels all over the USA to spread the word. Take a few minutes to watch the movie of Vic at work. DBI or Die.

Circle VM issue #2

May 09, 2007
The second issue of Circle showed up attached to the new issue of FreedomBMX. The video magazine made by Thomas Fritscher and Markus Wilke sees some interesting distribution this way in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Issue 2 starts off a bit rough. Looks like the riders had to huck a lot to get their tricks pulled on the flatbanks and cobble stones after a long winter. The sound of the rough landings and brake cables hitting the frames didn't add to the smoothness of the first part. Things smoothed out when the pros met at the Simpel Session in Estonia. Riders like Chase Hawk,
