NBC JEEP WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS AIRS THE PRESTIGEOUS “GOLD CUP�

PORTLAND, Maine, July 25, 2006--- NBC Jeep World of Adventure Sports (JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air its next episode on Saturday, August 5 at 2:30 pm Eastern Time. Hosted by Pat Parnell of NBC Sports, the program features an array of outstanding action and adventure sports events. The next episode features: Red Bull Elevation, the world’s most progressive BMX dirt jumping contest held in Whistler, B.C. Only the sport’s top 40 riders are invited to participate and compete on this one-of-a-kind course designed by veteran rider Jay Miron.

Crupi’s Greg Swingrover buys the company!

Arcadia, California – After nearly 25 years of manufacturing the world’s greatest BMX racing components, Crupi’s current owner Benny Joseph is ready for a change. Benny, now 71 years old will be focusing all of his attention on his other company; Mortech Manufacturing and handing over Crupi to his General Manager and good friend, Greg Swingrover. Greg has an extensive background in BMX including 16 years of racing experience. Greg is the founding “S” of S & M Bicycles, a 10 year veteran with GT Bicycles as well as working the past 10 years as Crupi’s General Manager and front man. Greg’s vision for Crupi is first and foremost to continue making the best “high-end” racing components on the planet as well as moving the company forward with newer products and perhaps adding a more affordable line of racing products.

-Mankind is very happy to anncounce that Mankind is from now on distributed in the USA through System Cycle and in Canada though Ryder Distribution. -Further we welcome Jeff Klugiewicz and Ronnie Napolitan to the Mankind team to be our teamriders in the USA.
-BMX Masters went down in Cologne and the members of the Mankind Boyband Barry Kohne, Mark Vos, Phil Aller and Juan Ruiz were there to represent. Barry, Mark and Phil entered Pro street and Phil and Juan rode Pro Mini. Phil Aller pulled an impossible fufanu on the backrail of the platform and came in 5th place and Juan took it easy due to a hurting leg and came in 16th.

July 2006 - Denver, Co. - Jamie Bestwick, 35, of Great Britain, scored a 94.00 on his second run in the best-of-two format in BMX Vert. He moved from second to first place with the victory. Placing second was Chad Kagy, 27, of Gilroy, Calif., with a score of 92.50. In third was Kevin Robinson, 34, of Providence, RI, with a 92.25.

“To ride with 12 of the best riders in the world is awesome,” said Bestwick. “It’s been up and down all year but I knew Denver was a good city for me. It was a great city and a great crowd.”

July 2006 - Denver  In BMX Dirt, Ryan Nyquist, 27, of Los Gatos, Calif., scored a 96.25 on his second run to win the title. He secured his win by performing his first barspin 720 in competition. Placing second was Panasonic Open winner Anthony Napoliton, 20, of Youngstown, OH with a 94.00 and in third Luke Parslow, 21, of Riverside, Calif., with a score of 93.25.

“It’s crazy I feel like I won my first contest, I’m so happy,” said Nyquist. “I just found out that I’m the oldest guy on the course, the young guys are pulling the hardest tricks and it seems like war out there.”

July, 2006 – Denver, Co. – Daniel Dhers captured the BMX Park title in the final day of competition at the Dew Action Sports Tour's second stop, the Right Guard Open, at the Pepsi Center. Dhers, 21, of Caracas, Venezuela, earned his first BMX Park title with a run that was highlighted by a no-handed flair on the quarter pipe. Ryan Nyquist, 27, of Los Gatos, Calif. came in second with a score of 91.00 while Alistair Whitton, 25, of Great Britain, took third place with a score of 90.25. 2005 BMX Park Dew Cup winner, Australia’s Ryan Guettler, 22, failed to qualify for BMX Park finals.
