Adelaide's Brian Kirkham looks set to take out another BMX National Series title after winning the sixth and penultimate round in Canberra today. Kirkham was too strong for Beijing Olympian, Luke Madill. With a quick start out of the gate Kirkham led from the second straight. Madill finished second with Melbourne's Joshua Callan just off the pace in third. National Champion, Billy Jolliffe from Newcastle, clashed with Madill in the first turn finishing in eighth spot.

Go to any major (or many minor) BMX contests and Trish Bare Grounds and her talented staff are on site providing medical services, tending to injuries and getting the athletes at their best to compete. She is a friend, counselor and source of constant encouragement to many of the top riders in BMX today. Trish will once again be providing medical services to the athletes competing in the 2010 Toronto Jam this weekend. I recently caught up with Trish to ask her about her work and her advice to riders on staying healthy and at the top of their game. Tell me a little about what Bare Essentials Sports Medicine is and how you came to be so closely involved with the athletes in BMX?
