Out of a field of 22 BMX riders, Spencer Bass won the BMX park competition Sunday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour’s stop in Grand Prairie, Texas. Eighteen-year-old Bass from Euless, Texas earned the BMX park victory at Alliance Skatepark on Sunday after landing a number of tailwhip variations including a double tailwhip and a backflip tailwhip during his winning run. Chris Hernandez was second and Anthony Jakab finished in third place. Slammed seat. Well, almost. No pivotal though but comfy. Looks like she's enjoying it though. Bob Haro is coming tot he 2009 IBMXFF World's next week. If you don't know who Bob is, do some research. Google or Youtube will get you in the right direction. Haro was the main influence for BMX Freestyle when it started. Some claim he started it all. Life continued after his pro freestyle career with Haro Bikes and then transfered into HARO Design. We received a photo of the cartoon style drawing from gOrk the other day. It's from 1977 and shows John Crews hitting a dirt berm (these things are made of smooth asphalt today so no need to stick your leg out, in fact, everyone is clipped in too). gOrk suggested we should have a few Haro drawings up in the "Comic 'n Art section. Anybody out there with some original HARO Drawings? Gork's mission for the winter is to bring his own BMX comic artwork to life. We might even see some of that on FATBMX before it gets published in 
Dimitris over in Asten-Heusden only has a few friends to ride with at his local trails. It's the same for most of us but if you don't do anything about it, it will be like that forever. Dimitris is inviting all dirt riders to come over to ride his spot in Asten-Heusden. It's got some decent doubles that lead into a 180 berm which sends you to the line back. The space is maxed out and there are jumps everywhere so technical riding is required. The spot is located at the Patrijsweg in Asten-Heusden, Noord-Brabant, NL. It might be hard to find if you don't know where you're going so get prepared for that. It's hidden behind some bushes near a little soccer field, only 200 meters North of the "town square". Starts at around 13H00 and ends whenever it ends.
