AARON ROSS NAMED STANDOUT RIDER FROM NIKE 6.0 STREET SPECIALTY COMPETITION AT THE DEW TOUR’S NIKE 6.0 BMX OPEN IN CHICAGO

Jul 03, 2009
The Dew Tour, the world’s premiere season-long action sports tour, today announced Aaron Ross as the Standout Rider from the Nike 6.0 street specialty competition as voted on by fans through RideBMX. The first ever street specialty competition took place at the Nike 6.0 BMX Open, June 26-27 in Chicago’s Grant Park. “To be chosen the Standout Rider feels really good,” Ross said. “The guys that I rode with in the contest and the entire group of riders were some of the best in BMX. My votes went to Garrett and Danny; I thought their video parts were amazing. It’s awesome to be picked because I think they deserved it more than me.”

As the winner of the Standout Rider award, Ross will receive a $1,000 bonus.

The street specialty competition consisted of nine riders divided into teams of three with one filmer per team. Based on their X Games

Ruben First Hand - part 2. By: Ruben Alcantara + Amazing clip

Jul 02, 2009
The second episode of this program is about riding trails because they are my favorite places to ride and I thought it could be the other part for my First Hand. We started in Malaga where we have two trails running now that are very good but it was almost summer and it started to get too dry to ride them. Then I decided to go to the trails in PA that are the best that exist and probably my favorite place to go riding. The work that they do there is unbelievable and just to go down through those lines it gives me the best feelings on my bike that I can imagine... a very sad thing was when Sergio had a very serious crash... I was so worried about him when it happened and when I saw him in that condition.

We took him to the hospital, he had to be there for over a week... The crash was so bad that nobody really felt like riding but going everyday to visit him and see that he was doing better we started to ride again taking it easy.

T-Mobile Local Support Miniramp Challenge on August 15th 2009

Jul 02, 2009
There are not many miniramps in Germany which are capable for high-quality BMX contests. That’s why the 2009 T-Mobile Local Support Miniramp Challenge takes place at the BMX Park in Darmstadt the second time after 2007. Starting at 11 a.m. on August 15th, 2009 the slogan for the first day of a weekend full of BMX madness in Darmstadt is: Grab your bike and ride the ramp! In good old Local Support tradition, two riders partner up to a team and compete in separated Pro and AM classes in the miniramp,
