Do you remember the first time you went to Europe to put on a demo?
Ron Wilkerson: Oh yes, the first time was just me and Brian, trippin’ our BALLS off... Flyin’ over there with NO IDEA what to expect. Then all the sketchy shows on cobblestones and sketchy ramps. Being brought to ride ramps in the middle of NOWHERE that were years and years old BACK THEN! Like this cement vert ramp nextto a river in Amsterdam, I think, or this 20’ transition, no flat, vert half in the trees in Sweden, or the demo at an airport where it was FREEZING outside, and all the people were inside watching us thru the window sipping coffee. Funny stuff.
Results of the Elite men final after second place finisher Roy van den Berg got disqualified for giving Frank Heijne "an elbow" but this was a doubtful decision. Niels Verrijt got DQ-d because he took his helmet off before crossing the finish line. Sounds like a good old BMX race to me! An cloudy start to the day, the trails running really well, We didn't expect many people to turn up after the first week was called off due to rain and the weather forecasted to rain again. But despite that, lots of people did turned up to watch the events that happened in bob's yard. Thanks for everyone that turned up and a big thanks to, Bob and family, DerelictBMX, Relenteless Energy, Vans, Scoop Distro, and Segment.

-Kevin: I had way more than two bags of t shirts I had all the videos from trend and I think I also had some parts. Two FULL bike bags of gear, I left with a small pack pack loaded with Kroners.

Unfortunately there's no RedBull Backyard digger planned for The Netherlands in 2009 but the spots they created are going strong. The RedBull diggers have now arrived in Latvia to give the riders over there a way to create their own dirt spot.
