German website provides pics of local spots

Nov 18, 2007
You've got your car packed to go on a road trip or you simply want something different to ride. Problem is, you don't know where to go or don't have time searching for spots that nobody has ridden yet. Welcome to 20Zwo.de. It's a site to keep the local scene alive and it provides photos of architecture that is meant to be ridden. The site is based in the Bochum/Wuppertal area and shows amazing spots. If we would have more sites like these it would be easier to find things to ride.

Ben Snowden's backyard

Nov 18, 2007
We like it when a (big) company comes in and does something for the sport. RedBull's backyard-digger and Backyard Build-off are a good example. Nike 6.0 is following up. Instead of hiring a stadium, they're going to riders' backyards and throw a jam there after they have fixed up the place. Last week ramp builder Nate Wessel started working on Ben Snowden's backyard ramps and gave them a complete overhaul (thanks to Nike).

Progress report on the Corby INDOOR Vert ramp by Zach Shaw

Nov 17, 2007
Shaun Scarfe at Four 1 Four Ltd has been working hard to get the Resi here on time and he has done well, it arrives on Monday! (don't even ask him about the customs/taxes/VAT crap nightmare bullshit that he has had to wade through to get it in to the UK, but it's done now so good job Shaun). The Resi Frames are up and virtually ready for a surface to go on. The Main Vert ramp is now taking its last surface which as you can see from the pictures is going on diagonally and we are taking our time to get the sheets fitting perfectly so that the ramp feels reallly smooth and fast.

Interview Dutch BMX Pro Martijn Scherpen

Nov 16, 2007

Name: Martijn Scherpen
Age: 19

Hometown:
Emmen, Netherlands
Profession: Professional BMXer

You have been racing BMX since an early age, did you ever think you would become a professional BMX rider? I started racing when I was almost 4 years old, to become a professional was always a dream for me, which became reality in the beginning of 2006

You are a member of the Dutch BMX team that is trying to score points to get as many tickets for the Olympics as possible. How many Elite men riders do you think Holland will be sending to the 2008 Games? We are in current 2nd place so I think we can send 3 male riders if we don’t do anything stupid... and we are hoping to send 1 woman.

You recently got nominated as an Olympic athlete. What advantages does this have?
