It would be a shame to let a killer event go unnoticed. The Red Bull Dirt Pipe did get some coverage from us, but when we received the write up of the event via Red Bull USA, it only makes sense to run that as well. The Dirt Pipe is a unique contest that pushes BMX in a direction that you normally don't see. Props for taking it to the next level. Here's what we received: Points and prizes were allocated for 'best run', 'best train' and 'best wall ride'.
The Train Jam - . Bringing an amazing amount of trail skills, trust and talent into the mix, Clint Bensley and Lee Kirkman were hungry for the $2000 up for grabs. Not content with simply following the leader down the pipe lines, they got their cross over helix-like action going in full effect, throwing some big moves at insane speeds in a performance that would earn them the dollars and respect, along with setting the bar for the main event.
BMX racing is once again on the schedule for the Olympics. The dates of the races have been announced and if you hit the images you can see how much it costs to watch the action on 8, 9 and 10 August in the year 2012. No need to get up early for this. Like.
