GT Bicycles fast femme fatale from France, Manon Valentino future US Olympic hopeful Jordan Miranda both earned hard fought for and coveted wins at the UCI/USABMX Super Nationals this weekend in Desoto Texas. Valentino came to Texas to use the race as a warm up for the upcoming UCI SX event in California but did a little more than that by winning the Elite Womens class against a talented field of international competitors on the first day of the event. Manon backed up the win with a 2nd on Sunday after battling through the pack that included the 2011 USABMX #1 woman Dominique Daniels. The great performance will add to Valentino’s momentum going into the upcoming UCI SX event in San Diego. An equally impressive performance was exhibited by US teammate Jordan Miranda. Desoto was the first race back for the Bakersfield California native after recovering from a serious foot injury in October that left the 18 year old with a plate and pins in his heal. The time off rejuvenated Miranda in
Team manager Jason Carnes led a strong and ascending Team Redline into the Super National at Desoto, TX and by the time the dust had cleared and the weekend was over Redline fans had plenty to cheer about. On Saturday, Redline lined up Sam Willoughby, Tory Nyhaug, French rider Damien Godet, and getting faster every day, hometown star Denzel Stein. When it came to the final, Tory Nyhaug took a strong sixth and Sam Willoughby gapped the field for a decisive win in the Elite Men’s event.

After Hong Kong I’ve been at the Olympic Training Centre Papendal almost everyday. Not only for training, but we also did some changes on the BMX Supercross track. The split for the men/ woman on the first straight is out. We have a nice triple into a new first turn. Than we took out de hip and box jump for a new second turn and a step up jump. We also changed the second straight for the woman’s.
