Monster Energy’s Scotty Cranmer has added another medal to his collection with a solid bronze medal finish today in BMX Park at X Games Austin 2015. It’s the ninth career medal for the New Jersey native. “It was an amazing end to an amazing week, said Cranmer. "I got my ninth medal! I have three bronze, three silver and three gold medals now and I am so amped up. It was a crazy event and so much insane riding went down. There was nothing but perfection from everyone and to be one of the guys on the podium yet again was freaking awesome.”
BMX Park sees the best riders in the world hitting a custom concrete course made especially for this weekend, filled with hips, banks, big gaps, and even a Monster Energy wall. Each rider must progress through a qualifying Round 1 before facing off in the finals for a shot at the podium.

Monster Energy congratulates Kyle Baldock on his clutch gold today in BMX Dirt at X Games Austin 2015. The final was stacked with stiff competition and windy, difficult conditions, but Baldock came through on his third and final run to take the win, his third-straight gold in the event. In the BMX Dirt finals the riders hit a unique and technical course, with their best of three scores counting. A big step down off an 18’ roll-in started off the course, then the riders faced six features, with a roller in the middle to divide the course in two sections.

The action at X Games Austin 2015 started on a high note today, as combined teams of skateboarders and BMX riders attacked the Mega Ramp in the new Big Air Doubles event. Colton Satterfield made BMX history tonight by landing the first double flair on the mega ramp earning him the gold medal in BMX Big Air at X Games Austin 2015. With the win coming on his 3rd and final run, the gold is the second-straight in the event for the Monster Energy rider. One of the most popular and certainly most dangerous events at X Games, BMX Big Air sees riders hitting the massive ramp first brought to X Games in 2004 (2006 for BMX). Riders drop in on a 90-foot roll-in, clear 50-70-foot gap, then hit a massive 27-foot quarterpipe. Over the last few years riders have been pushing the limits of BMX thanks to the extra speed and airtime the ramp offers—with a stacked field of talented riders (each with their own unique tricks), tonight’s podium was anyone’s for the taking.
As the reigning Big Air gold medalist, Satterfield was the last to drop in. With the rest of the field pulling their own innovative and crazy runs, the pressure was extremely high, especially after he sketched out and failed to land his first two runs.
