If nothing else, it was encouraging to hear the passion with which members of the bicycle industry voiced their concerns about our plans for the 2011 show and beyond. As has been well documented in the press, we listened to all of the feedback, investigated the options and have decided to reverse our original plans for next year and return Interbike to September dates in Las Vegas.

In the previous road trip report we had left Mark Vos just about to take a swim into a canal nearly taking Louie Smith with him. The fun commences. With Falko safely packed away in the boot with the kid’s bikes and Daniel Wedemeijer yet again trying to get the Ford Mondeo to spread its wings over the speed ramps (to Falko’s delight) we make our way back into the red light district to decamp at our base for the evening. A quick outing to Hill Street Blues and the local supermarket to gather supplies (munchies and more herbal remedies) we all stomp back to Falkos to chill out with some tunes. How someone didn’t go tits up on the stairs to Falkos flat over the duration of the visit I really don’t know. Talk about steep, I thought we were going to need oxygen masks the first time trying to negotiate them!
