October 2005: New FATBMX.com advertisement for issue 90 of RIDE

Oct 26, 2005
FATBMX RIDE adWe've done some wacky ads and this one isn't much better. That's what you get when you're working deep in the night to reach RIDE UK's deadline the next morning. Anyway, check it out and remember the ad when you see it in the next RIDE. We've used a few celebrities in this one so we hope they won't sue us for money. That would suck, having to pay extra to place an ad. We just want to keep reminding you on our website. Maybe you should bookmark it now and put it on your favorite list before you forget. That way you don't have to type it in all the time.

October 2005: Editorial October 2005. What's he gonna do when he grows up?

Oct 24, 2005
Philip graafmachine ediTalk at events is not about BMX only any more. Since the birth of our son Philip "priorities have changed" as they say. Pics are shown, videos are played on the phone and experiences are exchanged. It's hard to understand for those who are not there (yet). Beer is 1 Euro and the film they're going to show is the tour video from their trip to Poland. If you haven't read the tour story yet, read it here, to get in the mood. October 2005: JOHN PURSE MAKES HISTORY: TRIPLE RECORD HOLDER

Oct 20, 2005
3 records for PurseOctober, 2005 – Madison, Wis. – BMX Race Team Mongoose/Hyundai rider John Purse has broken THREE big records: Longest AA-Pro Career; Most Wins in a Single Season; and the biggie: Most Mains in a Lifetime. Purse’s pro career spans an incredible 16 years. Now qualified to race Vet-Pro (though he still races AA-Pro in the ABA and Elite Men in the NBL), his 25 wins in a single season tops the charts and now, as the first rider in BMX history to break the 300-Mains barrier, (now at a whopping 308), John Purse has earned his pages in the history books. “These records came to light at the ABA Grands last year,â€? said Purse. “I knew I had most wins in a single season (a record he set in 1998), but these others crept up on me. I’m close to the most winning rider in BMX history: I’ve got 71 total wins now, and the record held by former GT rider Gary Ellis is at 77, so that’s the next goal.â€?
