The inaugural Vans BMX Pro Cup Series has touched down in Sydney, Australia to welcome the
most talented BMX riders to the shores of Manly Beach for a premier showcase of BMX competition! With the final competitive field secured, the series’ first Global Qualifier event anticipates an explosive exhibition of invited pro riders, wildcards, and regional talent. Kicking off with an open Regional Qualifier (RQ) event earlier this week, the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series crowned Australian local Boyd Hilder as the first regional winner, leading an eager group of 12 top riders who advance to the main event beginning March 3. The event will host two Best Trick obstacle challenges, sponsored by LUX BMX, granting the most creative and innovative riders with a special cash prize.
Troy Lee first came into the BMX market by doing custom painted helmets. Although not cheap, all designs were superb and your helmet stood out from all others. The only thing you needed to do was not crash and scratch up the bucket. But the early nineties are far behind us. TLD moved into the helmet business using their own paint designs, started doing racing gear, safety gear, bags and clothing.

In North America he made his first USA BMX A Pro final at the legendary Pittsburgh track during the Steel City National and backed is action by taking a solid 3rd place at the Canadian National Championship in Calgary, behind James Palmer and Olympian Tory Nyhaug.

As part of the Road to X Games content series, X Games will host the world’s top athletes in a Park Qualifier event on June 10, 2017 as they compete to secure their invitation to X Games Minneapolis. The Dutch BMX scene got together on Friday night during the Moora Cup awards at the Skate Café in Amsterdam. The place was going to be opened the next day so having the wild BMX bunch in there the night before was a bit risky. But everyone behaved the best they could (ahum) and most of the nominated riders were present. BMX was celebrated and having everyone in one place together should happen more often because good times were had. And the winners are.....
