Box Components and the UCI have reached an agreement by which Box has been named an Official Supplier of the UCI BMX World Championships and UCI BMX Supercross World Cup for 2017 and 2018 seasons. Since 2015 Box has supplied the UCI with number plates for all athletes participating in these events, and now the relationship has been formalised to acknowledge Box's contribution to the sport.

The 2017 UCI BMX World Championships will be held in South Carolina from July 25th to July 30th. The 2017 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup consists of three events: Papendal (Netherlands, May 6-7), Zolder (Belgium, May 13-14), and Santiago del Estero (Argentina, September 16-17).

Kevin MacCuish, UCI BMX Coordinator, said, "We are very pleased with the level of support provided by Box for the UCI BMX World Championships and UCI BMX Supercross World Cup. Riders appreciate the well-designed and high-quality number plates that they provide, and it is great to have them on board."

The UCI is pushing the sport through Supercross events, and we are happy to be supplying customised number plates to them."

Staying Strong, the autobiography of Stephen Murray, will be a raw, inspirational story that will become a collector’s item and a ‘must have’ for every Action Sports fan and beyond and for anyone who, when they think they’ve got nothing left, can look inside themselves and ‘dig deeper’. Following a harrowing accident in 2007 Stephen was paralysed from the neck down and is still confined to a wheelchair. The competition schedule for the inaugural X Games Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium is now available at XGames.com. Jake Hinke: New Marketing Manager

The world’s top BMX athletes have been invited to the Road to X: Boise Qualifier, taking place June 10 at Rhodes Skate Park. The event serves as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will be invited to compete in each of the three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and the top four Women’s Skateboard athletes not already invited will qualify into the X Games Minneapolis Park competition.

Ryan Nyquist (Santa Cruz, California) – A 16-time X Games medalist, Nyquist is the second most-decorated BMX athlete in X Games history. Nyquist has two Park gold medals and two Dirt gold medals, with his most recent podium being silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013.

Alan Woods, the licensee of GT BMX’s Heritage line and Alans BMX shop is running a UK-based race team for 2017. Moore Large are pleased to be on board with both Box BMX components and Lake cycling shoes. The small team was launched at the Manchester indoor track and comprises of Karl Sanderson, John Bentley, Josie McFall, Joe Parr and Jay Fairbank.
