New Zealand fans are gearing up for their first chance to see the best BMX riders on the planet when Auckland hosts the 2013 UCI BMX World Championships on 24-28 July. Tickets go on sale to the public worldwide from today for the week-long championships to be held indoors at Vector Arena on the Auckland waterfront.

Make it three straight elite supercross national titles for Olympian Alise Post (Saint Cloud, Minn./Redline) after she dominated the women's competition on Saturday at the 2013 USA Cycling Elite BMX National Championships in southern California. Fellow 2012 Olympian Nic Long (Lakeside, Calif./Haro Bikes) captured his second national championship and first since 2010 in the men's elite field. After winning all three motos as well as the semifinals, Post held off a hard-charging Arielle Martin (Spanaway, Wash./Intense BMX) in the final to claim victory.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Post. "It was good racing, all the girls were on point. For me it just felt really great to win three in a row. It's a great accomplishment. On top of that, I made my momma proud. She's been watching from home and wasn't able to make it, being in the hospital. I'm happy to have won for her."

Another round in the European BMX Championships is taking place in Germany this weekend and once again Maris Strombergs made the trip over. In Weiterstadt, on Saturday he grabbed his first win. Will he do the same on Sunday? Check back after tomorrow's race to find out.

Felt good to be back in the final, but the South American fans made it very special to be in Argentina for round 2 of the UCI BMX Supercross season… It was a very long travel from Amsterdam to Santiago del Estero, Argentina but it was all word it… I expected more like a vacation feeling in Argentina, but I saw a different world with much poverty and some hectic/ dangerous traffic in the city. When I see those things I appreciate my own life even more, because I realize it’s not the same everywhere.

The last stop of my epic eight week adventure was held in Charlotte North Carolina over the weekend. The USA BMX event was held the same weekend as the BMX Supercross World Cup round in Argentina. Some riders opted to chase the USA series and some the World Cup series. We got lucky with the weather in NC, storms where forecast for race day however we got some rain but luckily nothing to affect the racing. The USA BMX Pro Womens class seems to be stepping up every race with the level of competition and battles going on, increasing.

Day one I was definitly feeling the past two months crazy non stop adventures with my legs feeling heavy and sluggish. Over the three finals format where lowest points wins. I had some great battles with Dominique Daniels and Amanda Geving for the podium spots with Alise Post showing a

Round 2 of the UCI BMX SX World Cup series started with a 26hr flight to Santiago del Estero Argentina from California where I am based. I was looking forward to racing after not having the start I wanted two weeks earlier in Manchester UK. I was a little stressed about my luggage making it to my final destination with a lot of connecting flights and lay overs.

Connor Fields and Shanaze Reade won the men’s and women’s main event of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Santiago Del Estero, Argentina on Saturday on 11th May 2013. The two riders were both leading the finals in the first turn to eventually secure victory. The town of Santiago Del Estero lived up to its reputation. The local organizing committee and the Governor of Santiago Del Estero pulled out all the stops to put on a world-class show.

Early on it was obvious. This would be a showdown between Shanaze Reade (GBR) and Olympic Gold Medalist, Mariana Pajon (COL). Both showed speed and grace in their heats. The young Olympic Bronze Medalist, Laura Smulders (NED) also showed good form throughout the heats but was just a little bit off the pace of the fastest two girls in the world. The Diaz sisters from Argentina did not disappoint the fans and both made it through to the semi-finals.

After winning the superfinal time trial yesterday, Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./BMX Racing Group-Chase Bicycles) rode to victory in the supercross on Saturday in the second round of the 2013 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, held in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.
