Things didn't look too good going into round two of the 2009 Stoppelcross series. It had rained all week and also on Saturday the weather was just terrible. For Sunday the weather forecast was good, but how would the track look? At 7am Pieter Does and I left for Mulders' place in the ghetto after getting the ice off the windscreen. Damn it was not only dark, but cold too. What the hell were we thinking? Rob van den Wildenberg already made it to Eric Mulders' place and then we headed towards Boekel. On the road Paul de Jong

More than 200 jobs will be based at the site, making British Cycling one of the biggest employers in the area. As well as the arena, the building will include the headquarters of British Cycling and will be

Steven almost broke his ankle 2 weeks ago, so he didn't have the best preparation for this race. But that didn't stop him! After winning his motos and semi, Steven took the hole shot in the main and lead from start to finish to take his 4th successive Asian Title.

When the normal motocross season ends, it starts for a lot of hobby riders. And many of them ride, or used to ride BMX. In fact, whenever we run into eachother, the stoppelcross races always come up. There's a competition going on before the races have even started and the first race took place on Sunday 1 November in Handel, NL. The weather forecast for the day were terrible but it didn't start raining until later in the afternoon, just when we were ready to pack it up. But what happened in Handel? Who did what?

The StoppelCross season is upon us. It's time to get some rides in before we all line up behind that starting gate in Handel on 1 November. Today's session was at the track in Boxmeer where Cock and Balls invited friends for a mellow MX session. You could be the monkey in a sidehack, try out the freestyle ramps, or simply do laps around the sandy track of MC Boxmeer. Not every BMX rider that was expected showed up but Bart Mol did and Ivo van der Putten as well. Jeffrey Herlings was there but did not ride (mandatory break).

Last weekend in a town of Chilliwack, B.C. Canada, the ABA held their Canadian ABA Grandnationals and crowned a new Canadian Pro King and Queen. And we here at Supercross BMX are proud to call the new Canandian ABA #1 Pro and Women Pro our own. For the ABA #1 Canadian Pro Title, Jimmy Brown came from behind, as he was not listed in the hunt for the title when the weekend started and lap by lap seemed to go faster not losing a single lap and taking the win for the weekend both days and ending up with his first Pro Title.
On the Womens Side, Supercross BMX's Kaila Sweeney was the reigning holder of the crown and went in to the Canadian ABA Grands in the lead to repeat her title and cinched the title chase by winning every lap on the Billy Allen built ABA Grands track to take the #1 Womens Pro Title home for the second year in a row.

Americans Donny Robinson (Napa, Calif.) and Arielle Martin (Pleasant Grove, Utah) finished third overall in the 2009 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series following the fourth and final round in Frejus, France. In the fourth round final Robinson finished second, behind Australia’s Sam Willoughby in the main, to secure third in the overall series. Martin finished third in Saturday’s main behind series winner Latetia le Corguille (FRA) to grab third in the final standings.
“I was not too happy with the way I was riding and Maris, Sam and Khalen were all incredibly fast” said Robinson. “I did not have second place speed today. So l am happy with my result thanks to some good positioning and smart riding.”
Following Robinson’s second-place finish, the only other American to make the main in Frejus was last year’s winner David Herman (Wheat Ridge, Colo.), finishing sixth. Click here for complete results from the

Laëtitia Le Corguillé from France won the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Fréjus in one of this year’s most exciting Elite women finals. With this victory in the ultimate leg of this year’s BMX Supercross World Cup the determined French rider also secured the overall 2009 World Cup win for Elite women. Just as impressive was Sam Willoughby’s victory in France in the Elite men. The 2009 Junior World Champion claimed his second win in a World Cup event this year and with that the talented young Australian from Adelaide was also awarded 2009 overall winner.
Willoughby was not the favourite going in to the quarter finals. He finished only 17th in the time trials on Friday and he had a rough start in the 1/8 finals on Saturday. He barely qualified for the quarter finales with one point to spare. But from that moment on the young Australian was on fire winning all following heats including the main event.
Le Corguillé was only second fastest going in to the women’s finals.
