When you show up at an event the course is usually done when you get there. After the contest is over, you usually leave theplace before the ramps are taken down. What goes into building a course for a contest? It's different everywhere, but the Bike Hall people have been at work getting things ready for this year's edition. We caught up with Kamil Feifer who filled us in.Who usually designs the course for the Bike Hall contest?
Kamil: For this year park design is made by Czech riders Jakub J?za , Ondra Šléz and main organizator BHC Pavel Hyvnar.
Do you have existing ramps that you have to fit into the course?
Kamil: The park is built on the existing ramps and each year we add one or two ramps, such as this year's Street barrier.
Are the ramps “pre-built” before they move into the big hall?

2012 INTERVIEW WITH 5050 SKATEPARK's ED POLLIO.Build it, and they will come! But not having an indoor place to build something at was a problem for all riders in the New York area. But that has changed. A new indoor spot has been found and the park is shaping up, spearheaded by Ed Pollio and his GF.
Word on the street is you're opening up an indoor skatepark, where's it going to be?
Ed: Yea, my girlfriend Angelica Popolano and I are opening an indoor skatepark in Staten Island N.Y. The park is located around the corner from the Stapleton train station - just two stops from the Staten Island Ferry. It will be the only indoor public skatepark in New York City.
How did you come across the building?
Ed: We were looking for a space for a few months and happen to run into this crazy guy Pete. He happened to have a building that was just what we needed.

A bit ago I had the opportunity to visit the Suzuki Factory workshop over in Belgium. They run the MX1 and MX2 teams from there. I was amazed by the size of the building. They had a huge one for the MX1 team and an enormous hall for the MX2 team. The workshop itself was fully equipped with all the tools you can think of. It was clean and looked so pro. Complete works engines were sitting on the shelves like they were packages of extra toilet paper. We got to walk around for a bit and snapped some photos for you to enjoy. Welcome to the real deal.
