When a museum visitor says, “A five-year-old could have painted that,” it isn’t usually meant as a compliment. With PAL, graffiti legend Loomit’s five-year-old son, it’s another story altogether. He’s already big in the design business and has designed the complete TEAM setup, including the board, bindings, and helmet, for HEAD.

But their appearance is far from being complete, since thanks to the board and helmet’s special surfaces, you can put your master

SE Bikes is set to release the first ever 26" PK Ripper Looptail this week. But as you can clearly see, we have designed this highly anticipated bike in collaboration with The Hundreds streetwear clothing company. Check out the custom Jags motif on the entire frame, fork, & bars. For sure you've never seen a bike like this before. Since Day One, The Hundreds has been about California Culture / Los Angeles Lifestyle. California has been a breeding ground for some of the world's most prolific subcultures. From the punk scene of the '80s, to gangsta rap and skateboarding, California lifestyle is all about Doing It Yourself, questioning authority and the norm, and being different. At the core, The Hundreds is influenced by this attitude, and all the various subcultures that we grew up in during the 80s and 90s. The SE/Hundreds collaboration bike follows the same logic.

We've been running a "Comic and Art" section on FATBMX since the beginning. Basically our web designer is a bad ass cartoonist/illustrator and we posted some of his stuff up here, including a Bartman comic. The other day we received a mail from Richard "Outlaw" Lee who sent in the illustration on the right that's up for sale on the BMXactiononline.com website. You see, everyone has tried to draw BMX riders on their bike but it's tough to make it look right. Now just imagine drawing a Motomag wheel and keep things in proportion. Outlaw's got it. See more of his work down here:

Usually we only have a few days to get a new FATBMX advertisement finished. When deadlines near, the mags are starting to stress out and want a new ad...uh yesterday! Instead of sending an existing ad I always try to come up with a new one. When thinking of a theme it helps to keep things simple. Here are a few FATBMX ads that appeared in DIG, RIDE UK, BMX-a TOPE, Rebelyell, 2020, Freedom, Zwanzig Zoll and Cream. Since you probably don't

DC Shoes Europe is proud to announce the launch of its latest Double Label Project along with a retrospective exhibition during the whole month of September at the new gallery L'IMPRIMERIE, Paris. During this month, DC will have on exhibition a retrospective of all DC Artist, Double Label and Remix Projects from the past decade. Some of these exclusive and limited projects will also be on sale for the first and only time.

As for our Double Label™ signature collaboration for Fall 2009, the DC x Sixpack France Double Label™ collection marks the most extensive project to date for the DC brand, consisting of men’s footwear and apparel. This premiere collection is slated as the first of many that will run over several seasons.

Dubbed “Non Merci”, the Sixpack France collection designed by Akroe, draws from inspirations that cross political borders, embraces impossible love and yet harbors deep resentment. Meaning “no thanks” in French, the translation of “Non Merci”

How do artists make money? Some are "official" artists and can claim a monthly check, but most are just out there having fun. They work, save up and buy cans so they can be creative when they have time off. Some do workshops to make some extra cash. Some have websites where they sell their work on canvas and others take on orders from whoever wants a wall painted. You can kinda compare it

The Berenkuil is an open canvas. You can show your skills when you want and how you want. But how do you decide to pick your canvas? Well, you just pick something. Sometimes that means it will turn into something better, other times it gets worse but then it's up to the next artist to pick.......

Welcome to a world of vibrant colour and madcap illustration, where shoe soles double as art canvases and seemingly subtle details glow electric-green in the dark … Meet Madsteez. For our latest shoe collaboration, Nike 6.0 joined forces with prolific street artist Mark Paul Deren (a.k.a. Madsteez) to create something fresh and visually groundbreaking. The result? The Nike 6.0 StinkWeen Braata. In keeping with the welcome-all energy propelling Nike 6.0, the California-based Madsteez mentored up and coming artist Evan “Stink” Rossell on the project.

BMX bikes are iconic: fact. There’s something about a BMX that appeals to kids, adults, cyclists and, more often than not, those involved in visual creativity. If someone tells you they’ve never wanted a BMX, well, they’re probably lying…Rad Rides: The Best of BMX (working title) looks to explore the world of BMX through photographs of bikes and Q&As with their owners. Some of the bikes are knackered, well worn by owners that have been riding for years. Others are beautiful, sculptural works of art, built but never ridden as a keepsake. Why are these bikes so sacred to their owners?

It's incredible how quick pieces appear (and disappear) at the Berenkuil in Eindhoven. It's a public place to show your graffiti skills but before you know it someone else will cover up your artwork on the wall. We took some more pics and have split them up in a few parts.

Bob Haro is coming tot he 2009 IBMXFF World's next week. If you don't know who Bob is, do some research. Google or Youtube will get you in the right direction. Haro was the main influence for BMX Freestyle when it started. Some claim he started it all. Life continued after his pro freestyle career with Haro Bikes and then transfered into HARO Design. We received a photo of the cartoon style drawing from gOrk the other day. It's from 1977 and shows John Crews hitting a dirt berm (these things are made of smooth asphalt today so no need to stick your leg out, in fact, everyone is clipped in too). gOrk suggested we should have a few Haro drawings up in the "Comic 'n Art section. Anybody out there with some original HARO Drawings? Gork's mission for the winter is to bring his own BMX comic artwork to life. We might even see some of that on FATBMX before it gets published in

Not sure how these themes start or how the graffiti artists pick up on those but the Berenkuil has turned into a Heroes Theme at the moment. From Soldiers to Superman to more characters, everyone wants to be a hero, even if it's just for one day. While I was there I saw two cyclists run into eachother. One flew over the bars and the other one just tipped over. Awesome!

It was time to head over to De berenkuil again. I brought the Canon IXUS 980 IS and let the 14.7 megapixels do the job. Until the battery ran out. Now I have to get back up there as I missed plenty of good ones. Thing is, I can't find the charger anywhere and the battery is dead empty. Whatever, no rush. Chill, you know. Peace!

Over the weekend Ryan Guettler told me that Scottish Jon has insured his collection of historical BMX bikes for $ 100.000,= dollars. When you see the following two pictures of his HARO collection you will understand that he will get near that number, especially when you know that getting a blue Shotgun seat for

Superstar's MED wanted to share his first (and probably only) old school project : a 1989 Cyclecraft XL. Med: "I bought it cheap in Spain, brought it to Taiwan for repair and paint and I finished it this week. Ok, tyres are modern..."
Enjoy this restauration project from Med by checking the photos.

Graffiti is big in the South of France, or at least they're got some really good guys over there in Montpellier. One year the street course was all painted up nicely and the next day it was totally covered with tags. Here are three ramps that will be on the course this weekend, all painted up. They're clean now without any tags or tire marks. Check 'em out.

Here's another batch of graffiti art on FATBMX. If you're into it, hit up the pics. If not, just skip it. Has anyone out there finished the FATBMX piece yet? Feel free to send stuff in for the Comic 'n Art section on FATBMX. It has been part of the FATBMX website for over ten years. Let's keep it going. BMX related please.

O.K. The world's only mobile BMX freestyle museum! Hand built one of a kind . The top ten freestyle bikes of the 1980's. 20K asking price. Am I nuts, well, Yes I am. It take's more than you can emagine to build a dream, and make it function. What is it you ask? A mobile BMX Time warp back to the 1980's. It is all contained in a 30 foot van style trailer. It contains The top 10 old school BMX freestyle bikes starting at 1984 and ending at 1988 totally restored. All the bikes are mounted to the wall and look as if they were gettin RAD on there own.
