Qualifiers at the Nike 6.0 BCN BMX PRO, and the Barcelona heat is in the red – El Scorchieo they call it over here we’ve heard, and there’s likely to be some serious lobster tans being rocked in the hotel lobby by the end of the event. With a start list of just under 40, a couple of dropouts due to injury in practice was also made up of 3 Spanish riders who got through to represent via the Spanish only Am Jams held earlier in the day

It was clear from the off that some had come to cruise while others had turned up to really show and prove. The lines that were in everyone’s head during practice started to be unleashed, Dennis Enarson threw down an outrageous whip transfer from the box to the long metal wall while Alex Coleborn got all involved with an equally mind blowing barrel roll tail whip. However MC Catfish had the largest, or is that loudest, screams for Garrett Reynolds’ nose manual to 180 bars out over the box, truly unreal.

The KHEbikes team (without the Flatlanders) will rock Germany in the week of July 11th to July 18th. The crew: Daniel Dhers, James Foster, Luke Padgett, Sas Kaykha, Sprosse, Janek Wentzky, Basti Gross, Fabian Fleig. We organized a big bus which will bring us from Karlsruhe across the country in a zigzag course to end up in Cologne on the weekend for the Masters!

Everyday there will be a tour stop in BMX-affine cities and we hope that as many as possible get to ride with us and hang out. First, we visit the local shop, and then move on to the park. By the way, we have some of our brand new 2011 bikes in the luggage, which you can check out in the local shops.

Schedule:
11TH JULY KARLSRUHE
AFTERNOON: WARM-UP WITH DANIEL AND JAMES AT THE EUROPAHALLE

etnies, Sunday and Odyssey are all rider-driven brands, and team rider Aaron Ross brought them together to form a new and different three-way collaboration, creating, for the first time, an etnies bike and Sunday shoes. The etnies x Sunday Number Mid shoe, bike frame and Odyssey components are available now. Designed and tested by Aaron Ross, the etnies x Sunday Number Mid is exactly what he was looking for in a BMX shoe – a cupsole with a grippy outsole featuring System G2 cushioning and an STI Foam Lite Level 2

BMX Park Qualifiers took place on 3 July on a hot day at the Movistar Extreme event in Barcelona. With close to 40 of the best riders in the world trying to make it to the finals the riding on the Wessel designed park course was awesome. 12 riders made it straight to the finals, the remaining 4 spots will be given away on 4 July to whoever wants to try to qualify again. Baz Keep and Bjorn Mager won't be riding this again as they were transported off to the hospital. Get well soon guys. Look at the following list of finalists and you'll know that things were going off. More coming soon now that we've finally gotten through on the internet.

Top 12 qualifiers at the BCN BMX Pro event in Barcelona, Spain:
1 Dennis Enarson
2 Daniel Dhers
3 Garrett Reynolds
4 Brett Banasiewicz
5 Ben Wallace

Sorry for missing out on the FAT Friday for a few weeks but they're just a lot of work to get together and the time just wasn't there. New attempt this week. Some of the news might be a little old because we did make attempts to get one out in the last few weeks. Anyway, thanks for hanging in there. If you're on the FATBMX mailing list to receive these, you still are and nothing went wrong on accident. We're off to Barcelona today for a weekend of BMX at the Nike 6.0 BMX Pro event. There's flatland as well so we'll get you an update from the flatland area too.
