The once quiet, under-the-radar event of Red Bull Dreamline, originally held on private land in Wabasha, Minn. is rising again, this time in the resort area of Angel Fire, New Mexico, with a bigger course, bold athlete list and some of the most challenging jumps seen in any recent BMX history. On August 9-10th, 2013, the slopes of the mountain will be converted into a dream downhill BMX dirt course, with 1,500 feet of perfectly groomed hits made-to-order, descending down from nearly 10,000 feet of elevation.

At the end of last year we visited the Nitro Circus Live how in Arnhem, Netherlands. It was one of the best shows we've ever witnessed. The action was non stop and the stunts and entertainment was of a high level. Nitro Circus The Movie shows how mad the Nitro crew really is. In July 2013 it is happening again! The BMX Worlds will be in the Cologne Jugendpark and will provide the best festival atmosphere for a weekend full of BMX and party! Just like every year under the Zoo Bridge, the amateurs and the pros from all over the world will flock to appear in Cologne and take part in one of the disciplines Dirt, Park, Street, Flatland or Vert. Of course the ladies will also be at the start in the disciplines Park and Flatland.

Coming right on the heels of X Games Foz do Iguaçu, X Games has announced the preliminary athlete lineup for X Games Barcelona, which makes its debut next month as the fourth stop in the X Games global tour. Over 200 athletes have committed to the event, which will feature women in the Skateboard Park competition for the first time and the first Real Women bracket ever, with eight female athletes from four different disciplines (snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and skiing).
The two new events are nestled among X Games mainstays like BMX, Skateboard Big Air and Park and Moto X Freestyle, Speed & Style and Enduo X, as well as the second installment of Street League Skateboarding at X Games, among other disciplines.

Below is the first round of BMX invites. This list is subject to change and will be finalized closer to X Games Barcelona, which runs May 16-19.

Jamie Bestwick has made history again today by claiming a record seventh-straight gold in BMX Vert at X Games Foz do Iguacu and taking the lead for the most consecutive X Games gold medals of all time. An undeniable force on the vert ramp, he dominated the finals by beating his closest competitor, Coco Zurita by nine points to make for a very convincing win.

Besides today’s gold being Bestwick’s incredible seventh straight, it’s the British rider’s 11th career gold and his 13th overall. He’s also now in the lead for the most consecutive X Games gold medals of all time.

The new Network front hubs now feature a female axle system with broached 17mm bolts while the Network cassette hubs feature the popular Switch Drive System (SDS) that allows for an easy switch between RHD and LHD setups and are available with a standard straight axle or female axle system.

From the start when working on these signature United Nathan Williams Nash Cranks, he had some very specific ideas for how he wanted them to look, they needed to be easy to install and maintain, and obviously able to withstand the pressures of his riding. We took these ideas and combined them with some proven manufacturing processes and by using FEA analysis software have managed to create a lightweight and street tough pair of cranks.

The design has been kept slim, clean and simple to create classic looking arms without any fancy gimmicks, but it’s whats on the inside that counts. by hollowing out the 22mm spindle as much as possible and creating arms with a shape to offer greater bend resistance and strength, we have made a set of cranks Nathan is proud to put his name to. As a final touch, all cranks are supplied with an installation/removal tool and a small sachet of grease, which make fitting them a breeze.

This week Monster Energy’s team of world-class athletes converge in Brazil for the first-ever X Games Foz Do Iguaçu 2013. A total of 28 Monster Energy athletes have earned coveted invites to the historic event, which gets underway Thursday, April 18 and runs through Sunday, April 21. This year X Games has goneglobal, with a total of six events all over the world. Winter events in Aspen and Tignes have already gone off, and the traditional summer events are now slated for Foz Do Iguaçu, Brazil; Barcelona, Spain; Munich, Germany; and the usual LosAngeles Calif. in 2013.
