Sports Vision announces their acquisition of NASS and will hold the event at the Bath and West Showground, 13th – 15th June 2008. Sports Vision today announce the official takeover of NASS, the UK’s premier action sports and music festival showcasing the finest talents in Skate, BMX, FMX (freestyle motor cross) and music at the Bath & West Showground in Somerset on June 13th-15th 2008.

The Bicycle Trip BMX park in NorCal will see an event on the weekend of 10-11 May 2008. Riders are getting together to make this weekend at the park a good one. Here's some info:

It's Spring Break in Florida and everyone knows what that means - Back-to-Back NBL National weekends at two of Florida’s finest tracks. The festivities kick off March 14-16 in West Palm Beach at Okeeheelee BMX for the Gator Nationals and then things get even hotter in the Sunshine State when the NBL National Series heads up north to the Orlando BMX track for the Easter Classic, March 21-23. The Gator Nationals will be held at the awesome Okeeheelee BMX Track in West Palm Beach (okeeheeleebmx.com), and features two War-Of-The-Stars Pro events and the last two UCI Continental Series races of the season.

After 21 issues the Zwanzig Zoll crew have managed to finish an issue on time. For 2008 they are trying to do that 4 more times meaning that this year Zwanzig Zoll will come out with five issues. Not only big plans there, Zwanzig will start working on their website soon to make it better. An idea is to put all old issues of Zwanzig Zoll magazines online like we are doing with the FAT-'zines. It's nothing new, but it saves everyone who has been collecting magazines some space in storage.  Issue 22 has the following items:

Every now and again an artist like Mr No Hands comes along breathing fresh air into proceedings with an unconventional approach to production and performance. Dave Clough aka Mr No Hands, a name inspired by his love for BMX tricks, is fast emerging as a creative force to be reckoned with through his ever popular video series which have accompanied his last few releases and seen his creative vision compared to the likes of Mr Scruff and Lemon Jelly.

AXXYS, a youth band, will perform at Mission Valley YMCA skate and BMX extravaganza benefiting “Grind for Life,” an organization helping people with cancer on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. The event is located at 3401 Clairemont Drive. An impressive list of pros will be riding together at the event to include BMX legends Matt Hoffman, Dennis McCoy, and more.

The FISE contest will take place from 30 April - 4 May. It will start off with a day of practice followed by two days of amateur riding. The pro contests will take place on the weekend. Also this year the Braun Cruzer tour is stopping by in Montpellier. This contest is always a good one so make sure you don't miss it. We just received the latest 3D drawings of the Park course, the Dirt course and the overall view of what the river bed in the South of Montpellier will look like.

BMX Australia is pleased to announce that we have secured SBS television to air a one-hour show on Sunday 4 May 2008 covering Adelaide UCI Supercross and National BMX Championships. The time is yet to be confirmed. SBS will film and produce the National Championship elite categories package and will be receiving a Supercross package from the UCI to air in a back-to-back format. Final format is not known but it is likely that the show will also include

T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds’ Dirt Session proudly presents all of its seeded riders on April 20th in a special event at the ‘Kraftzentrale of Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord’. Ten international top stars of both the BMX and the Mountainbike scene have already confirmed their appearance. Among the hot tips are BMX heroes like Ryan Nyquist, Kye Forte and Tobias Wicke. The last chance to qualify for this prestigious action sports event is T-Mobiles Local Support Dirt Challenge on March 15th taking place at ‘Abflughalle Grevenbroich’. The Dirt Sessions live music line-up is also completed. Londons Brit-Pop hot shot Jack Peñate just joined the bill that already features Germanys Sportfreunde Stiller and Punkrock-legends Millencolin as main acts. MTV and T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds have prolonged their partnership. The TV station will cover the finals and Sportfreunde Stillers performance live, starting at 8 P.M. on April 20th! 

It’s the third year of the T-Mobile Local Support program and it continues to support the BMX community in Germany. This year’s highlights are again the Local Support Challenges. They start at the Abflughalle Grevenbroich with the Local Support Dirt Challenge on March 15. There will be a MTB & BMX Dirt Jump contest with separate MTB & BMX competitions as well as separate Pro & Amateur judging.

Because Local Support is still working with the idea of supporting you and your spot, the contest will be a team challenge. Every spot will send out two guys who ride as one team to win the trophy. Each of the winning BMX & MTB pro teams will receive spot support in the amount of € 4.000. The winning Amateur team gets a multi-paged report in the Freedom BMX Magazine. Of course there will be more prizes, including a BBQ Party, waiting for the other teams.
