University of BMX : Has anybody reached Joe Kid yet? What did he have to say?

As was to be expected the yanks haven't been into the BMX movie from the fifties that we showed on FATBMX earlier this week. BMX history needs to be re-written and they know it. This time however we're not going to let it slide. We'll make sure people will know where bicycle motocross really started. We've placed articles on FATBMX about BMX in the fifties but people might have thought we're good at photoshop or something or the races were not "organized" enough to be recognized. Not only the movie we showed earlier explains that BMX was around in The Netherlands in the fifties, we

also have newspaper clippings. I'll translate some into English for those interested to read about it or for those who need to be convinced. We also have one more clip available where the originators of Bicycle Motocross talk about the early days as they participated in the races. It's in Dutch so start your quick course today. We'll post that in the next couple of days too. We're going to store the old school posts in the "University of BMX" section on FATBMX so whenever you want to show somebody where BMX racing started, send them HERE.

Ah well California really isn't that cool any way LOL. as for Americans being bummed about this Ah, well were a bunch of cry babies any way. I say way to go Netherlands!

You're confusing Cyclocross with BMX.

I dont think anyone is confused, but there is a lot of people in denial about who did what first ZS
