Race: Confirmed athletes Red Bull R.Evolution BMX race at the Mellowpark in Berlin

The Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany known for a.o. their Highway to Hill comps and Rebeljams, now have a spectacular BMX track at their premises to make their BMX program even bigger. And you know what, the World-Elite BMX racers will make it to Berlin next week for a new fun race. Instead of being punished by throwing tricks during a race, you now get rewarded, with CASH! The rider line-up will have to top racers, but also riders who can throw a couple of tricks in there, like Kris Fox, Nate Berkheimer and Holland's

Desmond Tessemaker. Here's a full list of riders who are making it to Berlin, but if you think you've got what it takes, you can try to qualify to mix it up with them the day prior to the main event. Are you ready to go head-to-head with the fastest BMX racers and the gnarliest dirt jumpers on the planet? ...on a track never seen before? Do you think you have what it takes? Well then, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and sign up for the Red Bull R.Evolution qualification event, which will be held 23rd August 2012 at Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany.

The qualification event is open for a maximum of 64 riders (minimum age 16 years or older). The top 16 riders will qualify for the big show on Friday 24th August 2012 joining the 48 invitees. Go for it and give your talent wings!

Red Bull R.Evolution is a whole new ball game, not only will it be on a BMX track where skills are even more relevant than power, where style is awarded in addition to speed but perhaps most importantly – you ride for the pure fun of BMX, no coaches, no nutrition specialists – this event is for riders only!

The track itself will be a perfect mixture, made for racing action and technical fun trail riding. It will have new features and flow never seen before on a BMX track. And here is the best thing – you´ll get rewarded cash by throwing down sick tricks while racing.

The main event will be broadcasted live (start: 7 pm CET) on redbull.tv.
