Adrenalin Games 2012 was an incredible event. An enormous park was placed inside a stadium like structure in the middle of one of Moscow's most beautiful parks along the Moscow river. Thousands of rowdy Russian fans came out to see an action packed contest filled with all of Russia's best riders, and a selection of invited riders from all around the world. Among that list were X-Games champion Garrett Reynolds, Red Bull rider Sean Ricany, street legend Brian Kachinsky, and high flying rider from the Netherlands Daniel Wedemeijer. The Adrenalin Games also flew out a panel of international judges including Ride BMX's Ryan Fudger, and FATBMX's Bart de Jong. With 3 rounds of competition, and an amazing street course that also had several park obstacles on which riders sent their biggest tricks, the Adrenaline Games had gotten Moscow ready for an insane weekend. On Saturday, the best trick and high air contests went down. Daniel Wedemeijer pulled an unthinkable fufanu, hopping onto
a rail off the side of the course with a deadly 15 foot drop below. Nonetheless, Timothy took the victory with an upledge hang five to tailwhip. Daniel got revenge with a cruising victory in high air, as he soared 4 meters above the 10 foot tall quarter.Sunday, finals went off in the scorching heat. Fans packed in until there wasnt a place left to stand to see the finale of biggest contest of the year in Russia. Denis Pavlov, a russian native who is becoming a world class street rider didnt ride like his true self on Sunday after taking a hard faceplant the day before when attempting a huge 360 drop. After claiming the top spot in the1st round qualifiers, Pavlov unfortunately could not reclaim his crown from last years Adrenaline Games. I was psyched to end up 4th on such a street course, and on pulling a 900 and a triple whip air on the amazing 10 foot quarter. Daniel Wedemeijer, possibly the crowd favorite of the weekend flew around the course, doing numerous crazy transfers and flying higher than anybody else. Maxim Chuprina threw down a flawless run and was proud to represent Russia on the podium. Garrett Reynolds, fresh off an X- Games gold medal, was the clear favorite coming in, and didnt dissapoint. He easily pulled the craziest street tricks and won by a crushing 12 points. I think every single person that watched or was part of the Adrenalin Games in 2012 was astonished with the quality of the event.
