Colorado Springs, CO (May 1, 2006) - USA Cycling is pleased to announce the 2006 U.S. BMX UCI World Championship team rosters for both Championship and Challenge Classes. Important notes for 2006 BMX UCI World Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil, July 28-31, 2006:
-If there are any mistakes on your team roster listing(s), please contact us immediately. Send email to dmartin@usacycling.org You may get contacted by the NBL for certain application information and verification. If so, please provide them whatever they need, as quickly as possible.
-If you are still interested in racing Championship Class you must have at least one (1) UCI point from this year. There is still time to collect a point. Contact dmartin@usacycling.org with any questions regarding this.
-If you are on the 2006 team roster but have not sent in your application, you must do this IMMEDIATELY. We need this to confirm your entry and to get clothing ordered.
-You must have a USAC International BMX license to compete. If you do not have this, please get this done IMMEDIATELY.
-You will need a valid passport and travel visa to enter Brazil. For information on obtaining a travel visa, log on to http://travel.state.gov/
-If you racing in the 2006 BMX UCI World Championships, or in any other future UCI event, you should be familiar with the UCI BMX rulebook which is available for preview or download at www.uci.ch
