Monster Energy¹s Jamie Bestwick has taken Gold in BMX Vert, his incredible fourth-straight X win. Coming in as the clear-cut favorite, he earned it amidst a stacked field as the contest took over center stage at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA during X Games 16. Emerging from the qualifying round as the top seed, Bestwick dropped in and immediately took the lead with a solid score of 44. From then on he lead the pack with trademark smoothness and tricks on nearly every hit, forcing the other riders to play catch-up. With Bestwick throwing down tricks like downside tailwhip flairs, a double downside tailwhip, and opposite flairs, Bestwick was impossible to beat and was even allowed a victory lap on his final go (a 46 + 44 combined score).

"I always dreamed about winning the X Games and in 2000 I made it a reality," said Bestwick immediately after his win. "In 2010 I have made BMX history by obtaining the four-peat. Success like 

this only comes by having great sponsors and people around me, allowing me to go out and ride and inspire!"

Bestwick's domination in BMX vert is inarguable. He holds seven X Games golds, including the one taken tonight.
