How has 2012 been for you?
Darryn: Not too bad, I crashed more this year than any year.

Can you explain how much traveling you’ve done in 2012?
Darryn: That much that I actually am pretty used to where ever I go when it comes to time.

Is racing going on in full swing in Australia right now since it’s your summer over there?
Darryn: Umm na not really, it's more the down time season.

How did you like the Red Bull R.Evolution race in Berlin, Germany?
Darryn: I loved it! We need more stuff like that in the future.

It looked like that race was made for riders like yourself, agree?
Darryn: Yeah for sure. I was just lucky I have a freestyle background as well as racing.

It was a long travel for you and your dad to make it over the Germany from Australia. Was it worth it in the end?
Darryn: Yeah it was. We both had fun and my dad was stoked to be there just to watch me!

How are things looking sponsor-wise for you for 2013?
Darryn: Umm not too sure to be honest, Stay Strong is awesome. I would hate to leave the team but for any reason I did, I would still support the cause 110%.

Is it a stressful time of the year getting everything organised for the new season?
Darryn: Umm not really, it's no different to any other year, you do what you do and that's pretty much it.

What races are on the program for 2013?
Darryn: All of the SX rounds and a few US an EU races.

Any chance you’ll be making the National team heading towards Rio in 2016?
Darryn: I would love for that dream to happen but we shall just have to wait and see.

USABMX #1 for 2012. Who’s your pick?
Darryn: It's going to be close but I'm going to have to say Sam Willoughby.

Thanks Darryn. Any thanks to anyone in particular?
Darryn: Marco and all the sponsors he has organised for me and mum and dad.
