A few weeks ago we interviewed Greg Romero here on FATBMX. Greg is one of the main men behind Revtec and they're taking things rather serious over there (not). This is funny shit:
The Revtec Pros went to Florida to race the Best In BMX NBL Spring Break Tournaments aboard the new 2005 Elite frames and let their presence be known. Being that these two races counted for the valuable UCI World Rankings, throw in that the “All Bub Associationâ€? couldn’t get the Horseheads, NY track to commit for the conflict so the Elite qualifying motos were full, Bub saw semis at a race for once, and the world got a sneak preview of what to expect for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Greg Romero-Elite Pro
The first weekend in Orlando was Greg’s first race back feeling 100% healed up from a car accident that has plagued him from training since
Why did we develop a “gender-specific frame you ask? With the advances in skill level, training, equipment and technology taking place in the sporting world, athletes are creating a demand for the tools that will enhance their performance and take them to the “next-level. It is no secret that women are built differently than men. Body mechanics, strength-to-weight ratio and center of gravity are the primary factors that separate the sexes. Data compiled from the research has been examined, tested and applied to equipment creating a whole separate market for the female athlete aiding them to perform at their highest level.
Bubba Harris is the BMX Bubba who has been kicking ass. The Redline rider won both days at the Tampa national in Florida. Here are the full Double A and Single A results of last weekend's race:Saturday 2 April, 2005

AUSTRALIA CREATES HISTORY “Stevenson and Fenwick dominate
Who can forget the headlines after last years World Championships in Holland?
Australia is preparing for another assault on the world stage this year and is looking forward to another successful UCI World Championship in Paris.
With BMX racing becoming an Olympic sport several countries are already preparing for the big day in 2008. Argentina has formed a team of talented riders in hopes of winning some gold, silver or bronze.
The Argentine nationals team are supported by the Argentine National Sport Secretary, that will be supporting the BMX ARGENTINE TEAM for the China Olympic Games.
ARGENTINE NATIONAL TEAM:
The NBL Easter Classic took place in Florida last weekend. Author's Mikael Prokop had a good weekend with 3 wins (out of 4). Dutchman Robert de Wilde got a third on Saturday but didn't make it out of his motos on Sunday. He got stuck in some soft dirt and crashed once. Cristian Becerine didn't make the mains this weekend but there was more bad news. Warwick Stevenson is out with a torn ACL. He had to get off the bike while riding his backyard trails and made a wrong step. Get well soon Warlock!
Anyway, here are the PRO weekend results:

Racing at arena tracks week in week out wears on the current AA pros. DC's Dwayne Taylor had the idea to change things up and hold a fun race at Randy Stumpfhauser's backyard trails. The track has two lanes and a lot of effort was put into preparing the trails for the race.
With the weather being on the skeptical side, some of the SoCal riders didn't drive the 5 hours up North to meet at Stumpy's. They should have. Everything was taken care of and that includes a killer track, a DJ, free lunch, $1500 singles for the winner (by DC), champagne for the top three finishers and $250,= USD checks for fastest qualifyer and for the 2nd place finisher (courtesy of Shimano).
