Enos: No, Base Brooklyn was the doing of Billy Erwinn, Brooks Manbeck, Mike Ick, and the Poole brothers. I just became part of the family. I saw the vision for BASE and made into a company, but not really a company but a big family.

Putting a brake in your product line isn't all too hard. They've got this catalog over in Taiwan that has all the parts. If you you pay a few cents extra, they'll even print your name on it. Job done. The hard way is designing the brake from the ground up, like the people from Free For Ride did with the Clito brake. You'll need people for the design, the 3D drawings, the packaging and a team to test it all. But then, you can be proud on the finished product.

The second of June 040BMXPARK will host the first amateur & pro contest at 040 BMX Park called the 040 BMX OPEN! Vans, Paul's Boutique and Pro-tec joined in to make this contest possible and it will be well worth the trip to Eindhoven! We decided to work with prices for top 5 instead of top 3 so there's more chance to win something. Qualification will be 1 minute run plus two attempts for a last trick. Finals will be in groups in jam format.
