When you've reached the Olympic status it's clear that you've reached a certain skill level of riding a BMX bike. Edžus Treimanis even developed his own technique to jump big doubles when there are heavy side winds. It came in handy at the SX World Cup in Papendal. Read on what he has to say.
What did you hear about the track before you made it to Papendal? Edžus: I heard that the track is very challenging and that it is longer than usual with big jumps from start to finish. So I had to do proper training for a long track so I could make a lap without my legs giving up on me and not being able to jump anything at the end of the track.
Did you try to find videos of it to see what it was like before you went to Holland? Edžus: Yes I watched all the videos on sanderbisseling.com.
When you arrived at the track, what was your first opinion?
